Encouraging Godly Friendships

One thing that helps us get through life today are friendships..not just any friendship but

True Friendships. True Friendships are a blessing from God.

Beautiful Hearts ,today I want to take some time to speak about something really near and dear to many of our hearts and that is friendships. If I was to ask someone today how many friends do they have , the answer may be hundreds due to the involveness of so many of us on social media. However, if we exclude social media and think about face to face true friends for most of us that number drops dramatically.If you have 2-10 true friends, consider yourself blessed.The bible encourages friendships.

Let's take a moment to grab our bibles and look at

Ecclesiastes 4:9=10 "Two are better than one; for they have a good reward for their labour.For if they fall, they will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth: for he had not another to help him." Hmmm, now I don't know about you but when I read this I said this is powerful. I feel even more loved by God that he values our happiness and relationships with others so much that he included these words in His word. He wants us all to be Happy and love one another.

I personally love doing life with great Godly individuals.:) I am sure you do as well.

So, what is a friend? A friend is many things..but to name a few a friend is a person one enjoys spending time with. They may have similar interest in the same things like sports,cooking , spiritual living,eatting out, visiting their local coffee houses etc...One thing about friends is that they make time for one another and in this way with time Friendships are are able to blossom.One key ingredient in genuine friendships is LOVE.. True Friendships are built with LOVE..they can say they honestly love each other and are willing to make their friend a priority..even when their plans and or life has to be rechanneled. Now sit back and ask yourself this question.Who can I count on to help me at any time of the day or night? Does Anyone come to mind?..Or ask yourself If someone called on me at anytime say 3 am and needed me ,Would I be a true friend and go to them? I personally want to say yes... I am the type of friend one can count on anytime day, night whenever, where ever , however..I will be there. I really value the few friends that I have. I wish I had more but at the time I am greatful for what God has blessed me with.I must say that now that I am living in another state I have lost contact with friends I once had back home and it has been somewhat of a challenge to make and keep new friendships here where I currently reside in California. I am praying that God will deliver to me more Godly friends and if you have a similar situation then I pray for you to be blessed with awesome friendships as well.

Qualities of a True Friend

Trustworthy - you can count on this person to do what they say they will do

Encourager-this person will be there to lift you up when you are down or need a little push..

they will help nudge you out of your comfort zone when needed..(SMILE) we all need it at times

Loyal- You can share your deepest secrets with each other and if you ask them to keep it to themselves then they will honor your request

These are just a few but Personally I want to add

PERFECT.. Find a perfect one on earth and you will get a million dollars .. LOL now no one is perfect ..We all will say things that may come out wrong or do something the other does not like But we stil can be perfect for each other ..Being our BEST for our BESTIE:)

Spiritual- Godly friends that you can pray with and for are a true blessing

Great Listener-A friend feels special when their friend comes to them for advice, tips, etc...God's word tells us this in James 1:19 KJV

"Wherefore, my beloved brethren let every man be swift to hear,slow to speak,slow to wrath." Now many consider me to be a nice kind person but I must unfortunately admit that this is A lesson I am praying to be better at too, LOL,,and I am getting better with prayer and The Holy Spirit's direction

I know as Believers we all want to live great purposeful lives with friends and love ones. It is unfortunate that at times we have differences with people that cross our paths and even with family/friends. Seems like the ones we are closest to can hurt us the most..I am not sure why but maybe because we love each other so much and when we have a disagreement it really hurts bad.I am the type of person that I will FIGHT TO KEEP MY FAMILY, FRIENDS AND LOVE ONES..they are sooo special to me. When you look at life as we all grow we all change somewhat..we are not the same..therefore we will not see eye to eye on everything and with time we may have to agree to disagree and keep it moving TOGETHER.:) The word tell us to be Humble, love one another and do Not be anxious for anything.

I do know that God wants us to all live awesome lives with good Godly friends. A true friend will often times put himelf/herself second to show their friend that they mean the world to them and that is LOVE. They love to do special deeds for their buddies..It really make everyone HaPpY:)

So ask yourself these questions ???

"What Kind of Friends Do I Have " ? and "What Kind of Friend Am I?" "How Can I Be A Better Friend" We all can demonstrate great qualities of a true friend.Let us reach out and bless our friends, pray with our friends, encourage our friends...love our friends...just be there for one another in all season's.the good, the bad..the happy the sad...ALL SEASON'S..Let us Pray Beautiful Hearts..Dear Father God..we come to you right now with humbled open hearts and we ask that you allow The Holy Spirit to touch each and everyone of us and show us how to be a true friend to others and PLEASE BLESS us with Good Godly Friendships. None of us ..NOBODY, No One wants to live in this big world all alone. We don't want to be lonely. We ask that you favor us with true friends and bless us with a giving heart and allow us to better understand one another. Lord let me Love others as I love myself . When we disagree on something Please let us see that the love and relationship we share is Bigger than the spat and keep our bond so strong that we will stay together. There is Nothing to big for our God. Let us NOT mistreat anyone... for it is wrong.Please keep the enemy out of our hearts and under our feets. Thank You Father and Heavenly Angels for your blessing on each of us . In Jesus Name we ALL PRAY..Amen
